Mohammad (Max) Khezri courageously participated in the protests in Mahabad following the tragic death of Mahsa Jina Amini, despite the heightened presence of armed regime forces. Amidst the chaos, a vehicle abruptly entered the street where Mohammad stood, and three individuals emerged, one of whom singled him out and demanded he halt. Ignoring the command, Mohammad made a split-second decision to flee. In response, regime enforcers fired upon him from a distance of approximately 10 meters, striking him five times with shotgun pellets that pierced his body.
Thanks to the swift action and close collaboration with German authorities by The Munich Circle, Mohammad was granted entry into Germany, where he now resides safely and can access the vital medical treatment he requires.
